 Laura and her husband Joel moved from Iowa to Colorado in 1970. Settling in the rural Black Forest area of Colorado Springs, they enjoyed raising their daughters in the country so the girls could have horses and lots of dogs! Now living in Southwest Colorado Springs, the Midkiffs are "empty-nesters" and are active in the community. Joel is a local business owner and a board member for several civic and non-profit agencies including the Colorado Springs Chamber of Commerce. In 1987, Laura took advantage of a "buyout" from US West so that she could develop her interest in Real Estate full time. " I've been lucky to live here and to participate in the growth of the Colorado Springs real estate market for nearly 30 years. My knowledge of the area enables me to both locate property that meets my clients needs and market existing homes efficiently.
